Players Code of Conduct

 ‘For club members to practice judo in a fun and safe manner’

All judoka taking part in Tanoshii Judo sessions are responsible to ensure that their behaviours match that of their training partners and hold up to our collectively agreed code of conduct:

 • All members are requested to arrive 5 min’s prior to starting of the session, kitted up and ready to go for the session start time.

 • All members (who have completed a grading) will wear well-fitting, full judogi.

• Should a player require to leave the mat, permission must be granted by a coach at their discretion.

• Members must always wear zori (flip-flops) or trainers on their feet when leaving the tatami (mat).

• Swearing, disruptive, violent or overly aggressive behaviour is not tolerated and will be dealt with in-line with the club’s behavioural policy at the coaches discretion.

• Commitment to learning is demonstrated through work ethic and effort during all training sessions.

 • Appropriate equipment is brought to all sessions and events (Judogi, footwear, water, snacks).

• Mobile phones should be switched off prior to the session starting.

• Communication with people off the mat (spectators, parents, etc.) should be directed through the coach.
