The Tanoshii Team Rumble returns in 2025!
Come along for an action-packed day of judo! The Team Rumble aims to maximise time on the mat in a friendly and relaxed environment, so is perfect for those new to competing. Having mixed teams adds a fun and exciting twist to the competition!

Open to judoka aged 8-12 on the day of the competition.
Spectators welcome and admission is free!

9:30am registration and weigh in
James Gillespie’s High School, Games Hall
Entries close Sunday 1st June
Timeline of the day:
9:30am - 9:45am - Registration and Weigh in
9:50 - Coach led warm up for all judoka
10:15am - Competition start time
2.00pm - Expected Award Ceremony and event finish
Format of event
After weigh-in, judoka will be randomly grouped into teams based on age and weight on the day.
Each judoka will be given a coloured belt to show what team they are on.
Each contest will run for three minutes on a rolling clock, ensuring plenty of valuable mat time and nonstop action!
Each judoka is guaranteed a minimum of two contests, with the goal of three or more, ensuring plenty of time to showcase their skills on the mat!
In a team match, the aggregate score of each contest decides the winning team.
When not on the mat, judoka can take on thrilling physical challenges for a chance to win awesome prizes!
Additional Information
Judoka must have a judogi (judo suit) and belt to participate in this event.
Judoka must have a valid National governing body membership, (JudoScotland, BJA, etc.)
Delicious refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day to keep everyone fuelled and energised!
